Arnaldo Putzu was the chief cover artist for Look-in. Although he wasn't the first to do painted covers, and didn't become a regular until later on, he is the person most people associate with them.
Arnaldo is an Italian artist, he studied at art school and in the 50's started a profitable career painting film posters, first in Rome for Italian films, before moving to England to paint for British movies, painting posters for the Carry on series, Stardust, Slade in Flame amongst others, it was here he was discovered by Colin Shelbourne.
He came onboard Look-in in 1971 and his first cover was of The Persuaders on issue 40, He did covers all the way up to 1981, sometimes alternating with other artists like Ivan Rose and Arthur Ranson.
