Alan Fennell was a writer and scriptwriter, best known for his work on the series of Gerry Anderson. His work with Anderson merged into another field that he was known for - comic editing, and many of his early publications included strips and other material based on the series created by Anderson.

He wrote episodes of Stingray and Thunderbirds. before moving on to comics. His most famous publication is probably TV21, but he also worked on Lady Penelope.

Alan was asked by the TV Times to make a dummy of a magazine, that they wanted as a sister publication, Look-in was the result.

He was given the job as Editor of Look-in in 1971 and stayed until 1975.

Alan died in 2001.
